Scripture Foundation:
“These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that Yahweh God made earth and heaven. Now no shrub of the field was yet in the earth, and no plant of the field had yet grown, for Yahweh God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground. But a stream would rise from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground. Then Yahweh God formed man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and so the man became a living being. And Yahweh God planted a garden in Eden, toward the east; and there He placed the man whom He had formed. (Man’s purpose was made before he was made)And out of the ground Yahweh God caused to grow every tree that is desirable in appearance and good for food (man’s provision); the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (man’s future). Then Yahweh God took the man and set him in the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it (man’s actualization). And Yahweh God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may surely eat; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat from it; for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” (Man’s moral governing structure; established relationship framework; master/servant)Then Yahweh God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” And out of the ground Yahweh God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and He brought each to the man to see what he would call it; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name. And the man gave names to all the cattle and to the birds of the sky and to every beast of the field; but for Adam (man was not named until he had acted in his purpose) there was not found a helper suitable for him. So Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. And Yahweh God fashioned the rib, which He had taken from the man, into a woman, and He brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This one finally is bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called Woman, Because this one was taken out of Man.” Therefore, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.”

Key Takeaways:
In Genesis 1, YHWH G-D, provided humans their overarching mandate. In Genesis 2, he provides the detail, or instructions, by which that mandate is to be carried out. Immediately you notice, is that Man was a singular being at first, as Woman had not been taken from Man, yet. This is indicative of the order of operations. It speaks to accountability and responsibility.
There are several critical conclusions that can be gleaned from the text. The order in which things are written and how they are written, in syntax, is also important.
Man’s Purpose was made before he was brought in. YHWY created humans, male and female, on the 6th day. He made all of creation in days 1 through 5. On day 6, He made male first, then female. Man’s job/purpose was already in place before he was made.
After his job/purpose was in place, then YHWY brought the provision.
Man’s future was not made apparent until AFTER his job/purpose and provision were in place. JOB/PURPOSE + PROVISION = FUTURE. You cannot have a future if you have no purpose to operate in and no provision to see that purpose fulfilled.
Once his job/purpose, provision which allowed for the potentiality of future growth were in place, then YHWY actualized man by placing him in the garden to begin.
Notice this is speaking of external requirements, not internal. If a man has a plan (internal) and is actively working (external) towards job/purpose and provision, then the original mandate is being followed. Time, or how long, is not mentioned, but the order in which these things must be in place is critical. This keeps in alignment with the overarching mandate to be fruitful, multiply, fill and subdue. It is when man is purposeless, stagnant, unproductive and/or engaging in pursuits that do not grow him internally or externally, that he is in rebellion of his natural inclination. Man was meant to work.
After actualization, Man then received the next command or his SOP (standard operating procedure). This instituted man’s framework for a moral governing structure and an additional relationship of YHWY to man, Master to Servant, Boss to Employee.
It wasn’t until after man had begun operating in his job/purpose, not necessarily provision, that he received his name, Adam. Name is indicative of purpose, power and authority. Unless you are actively operating in your purpose, your name has no power, since the name is indicative of the purpose and the authority in which you operate only applies to your purpose. When a man tries to enforce his authority, without operating in his purpose, he carries no weight or credibility and is looked upon with credulity.
He did all the work by himself. 1st. He named everything that was brought to creation which was made by the Lord; this was his purpose and command. It wasn’t until after he did his job, in the process of fulfilling his purpose, that his help was provided by YHWY.
Of note, the scripture states that YHWY breathed into man before he made woman. When He made woman, he didn’t breath into her individually, instead she shared the same breath as man. Her purpose comes from him and is intrinsically tied to man’s purpose. They are not separate from one another. The same breath of life that entered into man, while woman was apart from him internally, is the same breath that she partakes of when the Lord formed her from his rib. This is an indication of YHWY’s plan for man and woman. We are meant to operate in unison, not independently. This is the first indication of what marriage’s template and the order of operations.
Man did everything himself 1st, then YWHY provided help. A man cannot seek help if he is not 1st operating in his G-D given purpose. The helpmate did not come until he was doing something.
Man: If you do not work to till the soil and break up the solid ground, how to can you expect your wife to be soft when you have not worked and broken up the soil of her flesh? How can you expect her to bear fruit when you have no place/plan/garden in which to plant her? Our purpose is to provide the structure of a “walled garden” or Eden so that she may flourish. If you want your wife to take root and bear fruit, it is the husbandman’s responsibility to provide that environment. Husbandry is the science and practice of cultivating land, raising crops, and breeding or caring for livestock and animals. It focuses on managing resources efficiently to provide optimal conditions for growth and health. If you do not engage in this practice, then you are not operating as a husband/husbandman. Jesus Christ provides this example many times. “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.” Notice how the instructions are longer for men. The brunt of responsibility lies with husbands.
Ephesians 5:25-33 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/eph.5.25-33.NASB1995Woman: If you operate in such a way that does not help your mate, you are operating outside of YHWY G-D’s purpose for you. “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.” To balance the weight of responsibility and to maintain equitability, the wife supports and submits to the husband…in everything.
Ephesians 5:22-24 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/eph.5.22-24.NASB1995Men: do not seek to find a mate, a helper, but focus on your purpose. Women: do not look for a husband but prepare yourself to be helpful. The Lord will bring your mate to you during the course of your life’s work/purpose and preparation. When you are not pursuing your life’s G-D given work/purpose and not preparing yourself in your singleness, you will never find an appropriate mate. Instead, you will find a counterfeit.
We are not meant to act as if we do not need each other. The phrase “I don’t need a man” and “I don’t need a woman” are unbiblical, ungodly and untrue. We were literally made for each other to fulfill YHWY G-D’s purpose of be fruitful and multiply.
