The Higher You Fly…
The deeper you plum the depths of human emotion & our nature, you realize those depths belong to the Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the container, the template and the captain.
A bird soars through the sky unbound to untold heights, within the capacity his wings allow. He trusts the winds to provide lift, but the sky is not his to own. The better flier he becomes, the more he understands it is not for him to ascertain the skies full height and measure. It is to fly as high and straight and strong as his wings can carry, so that no matter the storm or tumultuous weather, his wings will carry him home nonetheless. The sky is not his, but he is permitted flight to his destination.
Greed and covetousness breed the sin of Icarus, resulting in the loss of his ability to soar to higher heights and flight altogether. He is forever grounded, his wings consumed of arrogance’s uncontrollable fire. As he loathes his circumstance, cradling his melted wings, he is permitted a last mercy and casts his gaze upon the heavens now lost to him bcuz of his pride. Do not become Icarus. I give thanks to Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of my faith.
“Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.”

““The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds.”
